As newcomers adjust to life in the U.S., many will experience unfamiliar weather and the impact of seasonal changes on health and costs of living. As winter nears, we must prioritize safety for those we serve by sharing resources to help them manage winter health impacts and home heating costs. During November’s two housing Community of Practice sessions, we will discuss the Federal government's Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), its requirements, and how to enroll newcomers in this energy-saving program.
